Flatpay POS - Main screen

This article provides a step-by-step guide to the new main screen design. 


On the main screen, you can easily navigate to: 

  • Product categories 
  • Product overview 
  • Quick-action menu 
  • Main menu 
  • Open orders 
  • Tables 


Main Screen

The main screen serves as the starting point for all actions. With a thoughtfully organized menu, each category is assigned a distinct color, streamlining navigation for staff. These colors are automatically assigned during the setup of your menu in the Flatpay Portal.


Quick-Action Menu 

Designed as a shortcut for the most common tasks during order processing, the quick-action menu ensures efficiency in everyday activities, such as modifying an order. 


Use case example

We are at a restaurant, and we are going to a table to take an order, afterwards:

  1. We add the products to the cart
  2. We click on "add to table" in the Quick-action menu
  3. We choose the table in the table overview, and confirm to place the order.
  4. Now a kitchen and a bar receipt is printed.


Use case 2

We are at a small cafe, with both take-away and dine-in, the following order is orders as take-away.

  1. We add the products to the cart
  2. We click on "save order" in the Quick-action menu
  3. We add the referrence.
  4. The order is now saved under "Open orders" 

15 minutes later..

  1. The customer is ready to pay, so we click on the order in the "Open orders" tab
  2. The products is automatically added to the card, when pressing on the open order.
  3. We choose the payment method.
  4. The receipt is not automatiaclly printed. 


Use case 3

We are at a kiosk, and a customer wants to buy some chips with 20% discount. 

  1. We add the product to the cart.
  2. We click on "order discount" in the Quick-action menu
  3. We choose the payment method.
  4. The receipts is now automatically printed. 


Main Menu 

To access additional functionalities, click on the burger menu in the top-right corner of the main screen to open the main menu. Here, you can perform various tasks, ranging from reviewing sales to completing end-of-day clock-out procedures.


Cashier management

Is used to do the daily settlement.


Use case

We are at the end of the day, and we are ready to close the shopdown.

  1. Click on the hamburger menu, and press on "Cashier management" 
  2. Click on close day
  3. Count the coins in the cashdrawer
  4. Insert the counted amount, and click "close" drawer.

Now a Z-report from the terminals, and a cashier report is printed. 


Open drawer

Is used to open the drawer. 


Terminal overview

Is used to see terminals that is linked to the customer, and you are able to switch between which one is connected directly to the POS.


Settings

Settings is here we do the configuration of the POS, to ensure it fits the business needs. 


Reports

In the report section we have all:

  • Z-reports from connected terminals
  • X-reports from the POS
  • Cashier reports from the POS.


Receipt list

In this section, you are able to access all recent orders.

When accessing one order, you are able to:

  • See all details from the receipt
  • Reprint ther receipt
  • Email the receipt
